Former Socialist Member of Parliament, Arben Çuko was appointed as the new prefect of Fier.

He will replace in this place former prefect, Mbarime Isufaj. 

Çuko had many important duties. He was a MP, then General Director of Prisons, Commandant of the Guards of Republic, Advisor of the President of Kosovo for Security and advisor of the Minister of Justice, Ulsi Manja.

Çuko was investigated for 'passive corruption' when he was the Director of Prisons. He was accused for getting bribe by the killer Olsi Karagjozi, to be transferred in another prison.
