Armand Duka Elected Member of Executive Committee

President of the Albanian Football Association (AFA), Armand Duka, was elected this Wednesday for the second time as a member of the Executive Committee at the 47th UEFA Congress that took place today in Lisbon, Portugal.

Head of the Albanian football government ran for this position among 11 opponents for 7 seats in the UEFA Executive Committee.

President Duka ranked first in the vote, being elected with a total of 45 votes out of 55 and thus receiving the confidence of the delegates of many large European federations for the second time.

After being re-elected to the Executive Committee, through a reaction on social networks, Duka expressed that he feels honored to continue to be part of the European football government, while emphasizing that the high number of supporting votes is one more responsibility.

"I am honored that UEFA member countries re-elected me to the European governance for a second term. The number of countries that supported me, 45 countries, is a greater challenge and responsibility to not align the work on the values that unite us: diversity, respect and equality. We will work together in the next 4 years for more concrete projects for football", declared Duka.
