Bardhi Sues Balluku at SPAK for Electoral Corruption

The political leader of the Democratic Party in Fier, Gazment Bardhi, submitted at the Special Prosecution against Corruption (SPAK) a denounce against the vice Prime Minister, Belinda Balluku for 'Corruption in the elections' regarding employment at the public administration.

In a public reaction, Bardhi called SPAK to testify that it is fighting electoral crimes, saying that DP is expecting real actions against this prosecution.

According to him, so far SPAK did only opened an office with the support of the OSCE but not a real action against electoral crimes.

"In this specific case, we are facing the consummation of the criminal offense of "Active Corruption in Elections", in the form of promising jobs or employment to support the Socialist Party and its candidates, for which the Criminal Code provides for a prison sentence of up to 5 (five) years." said Bardhi.

He said that Balluku engaged all the public administration in her power and promised employment against votes.
