The personal decision of the leader of the Democrats, Lulzim Basha, to expel former Prime Minister, Sali Berisha from the DP Parliamentary Group, has caused strong debates in the first meeting of the DP group, 12 hours before the first meeting of the Parliament. 

The newspaper "Panorama.al" has uncovered the full debate of the meeting through reliable sources in the hall. In the beginning, it was the chairman of the Democratic Party, Basha, who clarified the decision-making. He said yesterday was the deadline set by the US to make a decision. 

Meanwhile, during his speech, the leader of the Democratic Part have said that there are many other details about the Berisha case, with which he is familiar, but that he did not intend to make public and referring to these data, he said it was the best decision for Berisha himself and his family. 

Lulzim Basha: The decision against Berisha was the most difficult decision for me. You know very well my relationship over the years with Berisha. We have made some achievements together. The decision was made only in favor of the Democratic Party. I did not want to split the Democratic Party, so I made a personal decision. In these two and a half months, I have used every resource I have in the US, together with Dr. Berisha, but we could not solve the problem. I am telling you something that I have Gazment Bardhi and Jorida Tabaku as witnesses. When Philip Reeker came to meet me at the headquarters, he came only with the request to expel Berisha and did not accept any negotiations. 

The DASH decision on this has become clear to us. There are more details that have not been made public on this issue, but that I do not intend to share with anyone, but this is the most appropriate decision for Berisha and his family. Today was the deadline when the DP had to express itself. This decision was in the interest of both the DP and Sali Berisha.
