Basha Remembers 30thAnniversary of 'Shkodra Massacre'

The leader of the Democrats, Lulzim Basha, has remembered the 30th anniversary of the murder of 4 young people in the city of Shkodra.

Through a post on "Facebook", he writes that Arben Broci, Nazmi Kryeziu, Bujar Bishanaku and Besnik Ceka, were flagrantly shot by a regime that was dying.

Basha further writes that the heroes of April 2 are all over Albania, adding that 30 years later, the DP is on the right path to victory over evil, adding that change will come for Albania as all of Europe.

"Like today 30 years ago, on April 2, 1991, the bloody regime of the Labor Party mercilessly and deliberately killed 4 young boys, sons of Shkodra and torchbearers of democracy.

Arben Broci, Nazmi Kryeziu, Bujar Bishanaku and Besnik Ceka were shot by the phalanxes of the dying regime, because they dared to say in public and to the dictatorship that its time was over and the Albanians had chosen freedom and Europe.

That river of free people that flooded the streets and squares of Shkodra proved that even in the most difficult moments and in the face of the most heartless tyranny, Albanians are ready to embrace freedom at any cost.

The heroes of April 2 are the heroes of all Albania. The desire, courage and effort to make Albania a free country, laid the foundations of building a democratic state. An endeavor from which we have never given up and for which we work every day.

This day gives a special meaning to the movement we have started today. 30 years later, on April 2, the names of the 4 martyrs of that gloomy day resound in our conscience and give us the assurance that we are on the right path and on the path of victory over evil, of the change that is coming for every Albanian, on the road to Albania like all of Europe. Eternal glory to the martyrs of April 2!" concluded Basha.
