Berisha Visits Fushë-Krujë Family Affected by 2019 Earthquake

Former Prime Minister Sali Berisha visited the family of Martin Jaku in Fushë-Kruje, whose house was destroyed by the earthquake of November 26, 2019. For almost 3 years, they said that the state has not helped them to rebuild the house.

Berisha said that while the Jaku family lives in a hut, Rama decides to buy a wooden installation in the Prime Minister's Office worth 4 million euros.

"They have forgotten that the citizen exists, his daily problems. They have skyrocketed the prices. There is no greater shame. A state that leaves the employee in the tent. Edi Rama himself takes the personal plane, 150 thousand euros for the trip and he doesn't care. He bought an installation there, wooden box, crate upon crate, 4 million euros. So when evil blinds your eyes and completely takes over your morals, it won't let you go," said Berisha.

Martin Jaku says that the state helped him in the beginning only by providing him with a tent, but that too was destroyed.

"We were given tents, but they also broke. You are the only person who has spoken against this government. Many mistakes were made in Albania over the years. But in 2005, you came to power, you made changes, opened schools. The people voted, you liberalized visas. Now they vote for communism and eat the bread and capitalism," said Jaku.
