More than 100 convicts in Rec Prison have reportedly gone on hunger strike and refused food for two days.

Albaniandailynews.com learned that the convicts ask to meet their relatives, because, since the suspension of permits due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the only way to contact them has been by phone. They ask permission to go home. 

Meanwhile, even in Peqin Prison, the convicts have been on a hunger strike for several days and demand a halving of their sentences because, according to them, "part of the blame for their crimes" lies with the state.
