Crucial Match, Albania Needs a Win to Keep Hopes of Qualifying for the World Cup

The Albanian national football team is preparing for a crucial World Cup qualifier match against Latvia in Riga this Tuesday, June 10th, 2025.

The match will be played at Riga's "Skonto" stadium.

Albania needs a win to keep their hopes of qualifying for the World Cup alive after a recent goalless draw against Serbia.

The match is part of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers, and Albania is currently second in the group.

After a draw against Serbia, a win against Latvia is crucial for Albania to maintain their position and stay in the race for qualification.

Latvia, despite having a lower-level squad than Albania, will be motivated to fight for a positive result and avoid being left behind in the qualifying campaign.

The Albanian team has begun training preparations, including separate sessions for players who did and did not play in the Serbia match.

Albania National Team will be without captain Berat Gjimshiti, who is suspended, and Arlind Ajeti due to an injury.
