Minister of Defense Olta Xhaçka has filed Friday a lawsuit against the Democratic Party (DP) and some of this party’s members on the charge of “Defamation”.

The DP accused Minister Xhacka of “Abuse of power”, claiming that the government official has used Armed Forces helicopter to attend electoral meetings and events in Dibra, for which she is political leader.

On Wednesday, the Former MP of Democratic Party, Albana Vokshi claimed that Xhacka keeps misusing her power to not be held accountable for taking the military helicopter to go on party meetings in Dibra.

“On October 3, Olta Xhaçka has gone to Dibra by helicopter. There has been no military training, nothing related to her function as Minister of Defense. The Facebook account of the Chairman of the Socialist Party in Dibra shows Olta Xhacka on October 3 at the extended Assembly of the Socialist Party in this area”, said the Democrat among other things.

Earlier, On Tuesday, Vokshi went after the Defense Minister, seeking her dismissal over “Abuse of office” charges and accused the latter of having used the helicopter of the Armed Forces during the electoral campaign.
