The chairman of the Democratic Party, Lulzim Basha, has appointed Roland Bejko, a member of the party leadership, as the political leader of the Gjirokastra region. 

The news was announced to the media by the General Secretary of the Democratic Party, Gazment Bardhi. 

"In this way, Roland Bejko will also be the Chairman of the Regional Coordination Council, which is the permanent structure with responsibilities in the electoral organization and actions and political activities of the DP at the regional level," the statement said. 

We recall that Roland Bejko was hit by protesters called by Sali Berisha at the January 8 protest at the Democratic Party headquarters.
