Dua Lipa Explains Reason for Sharing Photo of 'Greater Albania'

Dua Lipa, in a press conference that she gave shortly before the concert in Tirana, spoke about the map of ethnic Albania that she posted some time ago, which brought the fierce reaction of the Serbs.

Asked by reporters today about the matter, Dua said she has not insulted anyone and everyone has the right to be proud of their origins.

"The post was not made for any nationalism, it was simply important that we as Albanians have the right to be proud of being Albanians. There are many people who want to make us feel like someone we are not. I had a feeling to express that we have the right to be proud. I had no intention to insult anyone, to have a debate because it was not a very good reaction to me, but I decided to stay with the opinion I had", said Lipa.

The music star published on social networks an image of the map of Greater Albania with the inscription "autochthonous". This image provoked the reaction of the Serbs.

Comments such as "Kosovo is Serbia" appeared in Dua's post. There were even those who accused the Albanian star of being a "fascist".
