Earthquake, Elderly Couple Hopes Not to Spend Another Winter in Tent

November 26 earthquake left hundreds of families homeless. Many of them, unable to afford accommodation elsewhere, moved to tents. 10 months after the earthquake, they continue to live in tents, without any information on the fate of their homes, Democratic Party (DP) denounces.

Such is the case of Dodë Krosi, from Bushnesh village of Kruja, who together with his family has been spending 10 months in winter and summer inside a tent, which offers no protection against harsh weather conditions.

Dodë Krosi is disabled and in addition to the difficulties brought by his health condition, he will be forced to spend the second winter in the tent.

The Krosi family's house was rated DS5 and authorities informed them they would be accommodated in Thumana. But this is not their wish, as they want to live in the place where they were born and raised.

They want their house to be reconstructed, as another year in the tent would be impossible for them.

Conversation between Krosi couple and Belind Kellici:
