The Embassy of Qatar in Tirana held a festive reception on the occasion of the National Day of the State of Qatar, attended by senior officials of the country, such as Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Igli Hasani, heads and representatives of Diplomatic Missions and International Organizations accredited in the country, mayors, as well as many personalities from politics, business, media, art, etc.

During his speech on this occasion, the Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Albania, Mr. Jabor bin Ali Al Dosari, emphasized that the celebration of the National Day aims to commemorate the founder Sheikh Jassim bin Mohammed bin Thani, who laid the foundations of the modern state of Qatar.

"This day instills the sense of pride in national identity and belonging and reflects the unity and solidarity of the Qatari people under the wise leadership of His Highness the Amir, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani," he said.

The Ambassador noted that the State of Qatar occupies today a special and ever-growing position in the regional and international arena, thanks to its comprehensive and unparalleled achievements, standing out in the international community with a foreign policy built on the basis of cooperation and friendship.

"These achievements have qualified Qatar to play the role of a successful mediator in resolving many disputes through diplomatic means, especially in the dramatic crisis that the Middle East is currently experiencing. Qatar is committed with its international partners to achieving a permanent ceasefire and a just solution to the Palestinian Cause, in accordance with international resolutions and the Arab Peace Initiative," he underlined.

At the end of his speech, the Ambassador emphasized the solid relations and close ties of friendship between Qatar and Albania and Kosovo, and reaffirmed the continuous efforts of the Embassy of the State of Qatar in Tirana to deepen bilateral relations and support any initiative that contributes to expanding aspects of cooperation in all fields, in the interest of our friendly countries and peoples.
