Edi Rama's Harsh Words to EU, Gratitude to Turkey
Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama criticized the EU regarding the coronavirus epidemic period.
Reminding the helping hand extended by Turkey, Rama said, "Turkey gave us the vaccine. If it were not for Erdogan, many more people would have lost their lives in our country."
Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama spoke at the 17th Bled Strategic Forum held in Slovenia.
Rama's agenda included what happened during the coronavirus process.
Criticizing the European Union's stance on the coronavirus process, Rama said, "They completely forgot about us", as he reminded Turkey's helping hand.
He said that the European Union made embarrassing mistakes about the vaccine at that time.
He stated that Turkey is providing vaccine aid to Albania and praised President Erdogan.
"They say in every speech that the Balkans should be with us and not be left under the influence of third parties. But what happened, Serbia got the vaccine from China. We got it from Turkey. If it wasn't for President Erdogan, many more people in our country. It would have lost his life. I hope Europe learned its lesson", said Rama.
"We hope that the European Union will not repeat the shameful mistake of simply distributing vaccines to each other and completely forgetting about us", Rama said, the Haber7.com reported.
