Police Director of Elbasan declared Thursday that order and security have been established in this city. In an interview for the local media infoWeb.al, he analysed work done by police during the last year, underlining the fact that no serious crimes were registered during 2022.

According to him, in a year were seized 7.2 million euro, money of criminal activities in this city.

“I believe in the professional structure of the police that I direct and it was evident that they have shown integrity and professionalism. However, I must be clear that no one will be tolerated if violates the state police law.

Last year was a success, but we have other challenges in 2023. The important thing for now is that Elbasan is returning to normality. It is no small thing to say that it came out the map of countries with the highest criminality,” said Cipa.

He mentioned that during 2021, nine murders were recorded in Elbasan, while during 2022 only two and those were for banal motives.

Cipa added that 174 persons were arrested last year in this city, while 313 persons are still declared wanted.
