Eleven New Pilots Join Albania's Air Force
Eleven new pilots will be added to the Air Force of Albania, after completing the training course for operating military helicopters.
At the graduation ceremony on Wednesday, Minister of Defense Niko Peleshi stated that this is a proof of the growth and strengthening of the Air Force of the Republic of Albania.
Moreover, the Minister of Defense said that some pilots have already been trained in the USA for Blackhawk helicopters, training which will also be carried out by the corps of newly graduated pilots.
In the meantime, Peleshi expressed his thanks to NATO allied countries that have contributed to the growth of the FA.
"We have big challenges ahead, especially in FA, both in terms of infrastructure, but also the increase of human capacities. FA is carrying out several historical projects. NATO's first tactical air base, the Kuçova base is now under construction and this is a historic development. In the air technology enrichment component, we are again at historic moments, because starting next year we will start building the air fleet with Blackhawk helicopters. The first two helicopters will arrive next year and then this number will increase towards consolidation and the creation of a real air fleet with the best helicopters in the world. This is a successful cooperation with our most strategic and special partner, the USA, and I take the opportunity to thank them", said Peleshi.
However, among the new pilots there are 10 boys and one girl, Armela Murati.
Graduation ceremony was also attended by Air Force Commander Brigadier General Ylli Pulaj, attachés of allied and NATO partner countries, as well as military personnel.
