Engineering Most Preferred Branch by High School Seniors
On August 3, the online application for the selection of 10 study programs for High School Students in the first round ended. This year, unlike last year, the first place as the most preferred branch is held by engineering.
On August 31, the ranking of applicants for each study program will be published on the e-albania portal, where the green color indicates that they are winners at that stage. Then, on September 2, the registration process begins.
"Over 21,000 high school graduates applied, a very slight decrease within the margin. At the top is engineering, it has usually been medical sciences together with nursing, this year there is a slightly greater increase in engineering together with information technology which are in first place with about 25% of applications, then comes medical sciences with 23, 2% of applications and in third place are economic sciences with 16%. Then the teaching and 2-year programs continue. Teaching has a slight increase, maybe it is the effect of the decrease in the average for entering the bachelor's system and the two-year programs, which are somewhere around 8%," said Arjan Xhelaj, director of RASH.
