Ex-Director of MEICO Testifies for Gerdec Case on Minister

Former director of MEICO, Ylli Pinari sentenced to 4 years in prison for "Abuse of duty", is testifying in the process against former Minister Fatmir Mediu regarding the "Gërdeci" case.

After being found guilty in the first file "Gërdeci", Pinari confessed how he was put in contact with Patrik Henry, the representative of SAC, the company that was involved in the demolition in Gërdec.

According to the local media, Pinari testified that Patrik Henry had created the company "Albademil" in Albania, where Mihal Delijorgji was a co-shareholder.

"Initially we had communications by email. After the exchange of information, Patrick proposed the creation of a dismantling line," said Pinari.

"MEICO is not involved in the process of determining Gërdec as a dismantling site", he added.
