Ex-Minister Lefter Koka Sentenced to Prison
The Special Court against Organized Crime and Corruption (GJKKO) has imposed this Thursday the measure 'prison arrest' for the former Minister of Environment, Lefter Koka. The former senior Socialist official is accused of corruption and abuse of office in connection with abuses with incinerators.
Koka appeared before the court under strict security measures. We recall that former Minister Koka was arrested two days ago by the Special Prosecution against Corruption and Organized Crime (SPAK).
Koka is charged with the criminal offenses of "Abuse of duty", "Active corruption of senior state officials or local elected officials", "Passive corruption of senior state officials or local elected officials" and "Laundering the proceeds of crime or criminal activity ”.
