Chairman of the Democratic Party (DP), Lulzim Basha has lost his father this Sunday.

Albaniandailynews.com learned that Xhelal Basha the late father of Lulzim Basha had been admitted to hospital for a long time due to a serious illness but recently he was sent at home and died at the age of 85. 

Lulzim Basha is the leader of the Democratic Party (DP) since 2013 when Sali Berisha resigned after losing in parliamentary elections. Since than Basha has not yet managed to win elections against Prime Minister Rama, while recently Sali Berisha has come out against his successor.

The political battle between Berisha-Basha started after Basha suspended Berisha from DP's parliamentary group following DOS's decision to declare him persona non-grata. Berisha has not welcomed Basha's decision and warned returning as DP head.
