It seems that the suffering of Albanian emigrants at border crossing points waiting to cross into the neighboring state, Greece, is being repeated. 

Long queues have formed at the Kapshtica border crossing point this Saturday, after queues over 25 kilometers that were formed in mid-August of Albanian emigrants waiting to pass to Greek territory.

It is reported that the Greek side has closed the counters, after the quotas of 300 people per day have been met. 

The emigrants have asked for the help of the state to make it possible for them to cross into the Greek state, as the deadline for the date of the coronavirus test and the form they have filled in to pass to the Greek customs is expiring.

They have stated that they no longer have the money to return to Albania to pay again for the coronavirus test and the bus ticket. 

"We are here from 9:00 in the morning. We were told that the Greeks are working, but now we can not pass. We have no more money to undergo coronavirus test once again. We ask the government to talk to the Greek state. 

We have done application, we got OK, I'm ok with the whole application and I come here and I can not pass. On Monday we must definitely be at work. We are both Albanians and Greeks. We pay taxes there, we pay taxes here. This is not normal," says one of the emigrants.
 

Greek government has decided that during 24-hour time, only 300 people will pass through the customs of Kapshtica, while 750 people will pass through that of Kakavija.
