Firefighters Unable to Extinguish Fier Forest Wildfire

Firefighters are trying to extinguish the fire in the forest massif of Pishporo and Darëzeza in Fier, which has entered its 6th day this Sunday. 

Operational forces were on the ground until midnight after being favored by the strong sea wind, all the fires in the forest were activated, spreading to the forest massif of Darëzeza, where the flames came up to 300 meters near the residential area and businesses. who operate in it. 

Two fire engines brought this dangerous fire under control, while throughout the night the area was monitored by fire services. 

According to the prefect Lefter Shehaj, the operation started in the early hours of this morning where 5 fire engines with 20 troops, 40 effectives of the armed forces, ADZM employees, support forces of the municipality and a bulldozer of the Ministry of Defense are working on the ground. . 

Howevere, the fires are currently at low intensity due to overnight rain.
