First Albanian PM, Talat Xhaferi to Be Voted by North Macedonian Assembly

In North Macedonia, the parliament of this country will vote this Sunday, January 28 on the formation of the government led for the first time in the country's history, by an Albanian prime minister.

Talat Xhaferi, who held the post of Speaker of the Assembly, is proposed for technical prime minister by the Democratic Union for Integration, a party in government coalition with SDSM.

This is based on the coalition agreement between the two parties that in the last 100 days of the governing mandate, the prime minister will be Albanian.

On the other hand, VMRO, the Macedonian opposition party, declared that it will propose the ministers and deputy ministers, but will not vote for the government with Prime Minister Talat Xhaferi.
