"Covid took another one from us. Today passed away Prof. Dr. Ahmet Ceni, a life in public service. One of my mentors passed away. The first condolences go to the family and immediately behind the colleagues, who were shocked today and we can not accept that the professor will no longer be among us.

When 10 years ago I became his assistant in the Human Resources discipline at the Faculty of Economics, the only thing that connected us was being from Shkodra. Prof. Ahmeti was considered strict by the students but with a big heart. For all of us who had him as a boss, he was a teacher of the academic values and ethical principles of a rare professional.

Every conversation with him was accompanied by advice that only one parent can give to the child. The values of Prof. Ahmeti will always remain with me, honesty, justice and kindness. They are exactly people like prof. Ahmeti, which make me believe that positive models like him spread like oxygen to people who interact with them. "You will live in my mind and heart as long as I live!", Bilali wrote on "Facebook".

Nevertheless, Ahmet Ceni was born in 1950 in Shkodra. Eight-year school completed in Shkodra and high school at the Economic Technical School "Nako Spiro" in Tirana. After high school he completed his military service for a period of two years and in 1972 he began his higher studies at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Tirana, which he completed according to the program in 1977.

After graduating from school from 1997 to 1982 he worked with various functional duties as head of the finance and planning branch in various companies in Shkodra. In 1982 and until now he has worked mainly in the Faculty of Economics as a lecturer and head of the Department of Labor Organization and in 1992 to 1995 as head of the Department of Management.

From 1998 to 2000 he worked as Deputy Minister of Transport and from 2001 to 2005 as Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Affairs. From 2005 he was a professor in the Department of Management.

He has written over a hundred articles and papers of a scientific and applied nature mainly in the field of labor market, employment, organization and management. He is the author of three textbooks that are developed at the Bachelor and Master level as well as the author of the third cycle lectures in the subjects "Reward and performance management".

Ceni was the author of several monographs from which can be mentioned "Albania from the Market Plan", "Direction and Information", "Analysis of norms and standardization of management work", etc., and is the director of over 15 doctorates and other scientific works.
