Fourth Vacationer Drowned in Albanian Beaches in Few Days
A vacationer from Ukraina drowned this Tuesday on Golem beach. It is learned that it is about a 70-year-old man who was pulled out of the water by vacationers but could not survive.
This is the fourth case of drowning on the country's beaches in a few days. Only on Sunday, three vacationers lost their lives, two on the beach of Spille and one in Velipoja. The two vacationers who drowned in Spille were from North Macedonia, while in Velipoja a 59-year-old man from Kosovo lost his life.
For years now, the problem on Albanian beaches has been the lack of coastguards, and in most cases, vacationers are engaged in first aid to people at risk of drowning at sea.
