The German Embassy in Tirana has congratulated Bajram Begaj after his election as the new President of Albania. 

In its message, the Embassy emphasized that the election of the President stands above the politics of the day.

"We cordially congratulate Mr. Bajram Begaj for the election as the new President of the Republic of Albania today. The election of the President is above the politics of the day. It creates a unique opportunity to engage in the sign of unity and - given the challenges facing Albania - to work on overcoming political trenches and to support a culture of union beyond parties. In this context we wish Mr. Bajram Begaj is a force for good", it is written in the Embassy post on Facebook.
