Gold and Bronze Medals for Albania at the European Wrestling Championship

Albania continues to benefit greatly from the opportunities it has naturalized. 

On Wednesday, Chermen Valiev won a gold medal for Albania at the European Championships being held in Bratislava, Slovakia.

Valiev won gold in the 74 kg freestyle category. In the final, he defeated Zaurbek Sidakov, who represents the world federation and is from Russia, 4:2.
Valiev reached the gold medal with three victories.

Valiev is from North Ossetia, one of the republics of Russia. He has been competing for Albania since last year, winning an Olympic bronze medal.

Meanwhile, Zelimkhan Abakarov won a bronze medal for Albania at the European Championships in Bratislava. For the bronze medal in the up to 61 kilogram category, Abakarov defeated Moldova's Leomid Colesnic 11:0.

Abakarov is from Dagestan, and has been competing for Albania since 2022. He has already won world gold and bronze medals, as well as two European silver medals.
