Grain Ship from Ukraine Arrives at Durrës Port

Ship called "Jaohar Ranim" with a capacity of about 6,000 tons of grain, which departed from Ukraine, arrived Wednesday, at 08:37, in the Port of Durrës.

It was loaded with wheat on July 28, while it is the first ship to make this route since the start of the invasion of Ukraine by Russia on February 24 of this year.

Russia's attack on Ukraine caused economic problems around the world, while the supply of wheat and other materials from Ukraine was cut off due to the war.

A Russia-Ukraine agreement brokered by Turkey was recently reached, resulting in Ukraine resuming the export of thousands of tons of grain.

Russia and Ukraine together account for nearly a third of global wheat exports, so the resumption of wheat exports from Ukraine has breathed new life into global consumption demand.
