Greece Border, Berat Man Caught Transporting Narcotics
Border Police services have found and handcuffed Saturday citizen with initials N. K., 50 years old, resident in Qelepias, Berat, who was transporting several packages of cannabis narcotics.
The apprehension took place at the green border of Albania with Greece above the village of Konispol and the drugs weighing about 3 kilograms were seized.
Meanwhile, the materials were referred to Saranda Prosecution for further action and the perpetrator will face the criminal charge "Trafficking of narcotics".
“Border Police has increased the controls on the green border with Greece. Alternated controls with the Greek Border Police are made to prevent and crack down on inter-border crimes, mainly attempts at drug trafficking.
As a result of the increased controls, an attempt for drug trafficking in the direction of the Greek state, through the green border, is prevented and hitâ€, notified the police.
