Hasani: PM Rama Pioneered Idea of Kosovo’s Partition

Former Chair of the Constitutional Court of Kosovo, Enver Hasani, cast criticism on the Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama.

Hasani labelled Rama as the pioneer of the idea for border correction of the territories, reported Klan Kosova.

"Edi Rama was part of the project for the partition of Kosovo, as the historical facts are coming out, in fact the first ideator was him. Then he put us in the game. The first idea was born from Edi Rama and is related to the Special Court and call them naiveties or illusions as you like, but the main external actors who are writing about the matter, confirm this."

The former chair of the Constitutional Court further said that the point of Washington's agreement on a moratorium on non-application to international organizations does not harm the country as Serbia was much more successful in its derecognition campaign.

Why do I not see this as bad? It is a popular saying, It never rains but it pours, even so we applied but they did not accept us, Serbia succeeded, this agreement has stopped its rush.

We were where we were, we had been counting for years as a result of the domestic political policies and behaviors of the Kosovo leadership in the image of internationals for all, with visas for all.

In the situation we are we did not lose. Why can you say that we lost, when the probability is high that we would not have had any membership anywhere for another year.

Our friends have told us not to apply in these countries.

I know - when I was Chairman of the Constitutional Court, we tried in some countries to join the Constitutional Court, where Serbia and Russia have influence and we could not. Because there are some processes that the great powers need to agree on in strong frameworks, because the very fact that the Russian reaction is not a negative reaction, we must understand that this is a global market," Hasani stated.

Hasani was also asked about what is expected to happen within this year until the expiration of the moratorium point.

He said that after this agreement there is no going back.

"The status quo does not exist, the return to the previous state is a closed chapter, I believe that the feasibility is done. I believe that the Mini Schengen plan is moving forward, so there are tangible signs associated with it."
