Highly Wanted Georgian Arrested for Extradition Purposes

Tirana Police has detained Tuesday Mindia Lavasogli (Goradze) who was sheltered in Tirana, as he is accused of being the head of a violent criminal group with activity mainly in crimes against wealth in Georgia and other countries.

According to the authorities, Goradze has been caught and provisionally arrested, with the aim of extraditing the head of a criminal group in the field of crimes against property and illegal possession of weapons, a highly wanted citizen internationally.

Court of Kutai in Georgia, with decision no. 1/532-16, dated 20.06.2018, sentenced this citizen to 12 years of imprisonment for the criminal offenses of "Obstructing the professional activity of a journalist, carried out by means of threats", "Criminal group".

"Following the consecutive operations, developed and finalized by Fast Albania, in cooperation with counterparts and with the services of DVP Tirana, yesterday evening, another operation was finalized to capture the head of a criminal group that committed armed robbery and violently, in Georgia and elsewhere.

Fast Albania has successfully developed and finalized the coded police operation "Kryesori", in the framework of which Georgian citizen Mindia Lavasogli, 42 years old, was caught and temporarily arrested, with the aim of extradition to Georgia.
