Lezha Prosecutor's Office has completed the investigation into the murder of 34-year-old Eri Zefi, an event that occurred on October 2, 2019 in the village of Zall-Xhuxhe of the Fan Administrative Unit in Mirdita. 

The citizen Mikel (Gjovalin) Alia was taken as a defendant for this event and he was charged with "Murder", committed in collaboration. The 42-year-old was identified a few days after the event and was declared wanted, but on November 12, 2019, he surrendered to the Lezha Police. 

Referring to the investigative file, it is said that Mikel (Gjovalin) Alia had a very important role in the murder of Eri Zefi, after it was proved through film footage and telephone conversations that the 42-year-old ambushed the 34-year-old, whom he had had a childhood friend.

The victim from February 2019 had reduced his movements and attendance of various persons, as he was guarded from a possible blood feud. This is because Eri Zefi was the brother of Ndue Zefi. The latter in February 2019 killed his neighbor, 45-year-old Martin Ndreca, after a banal quarrel. As a result of this murder, Eri Zefi feared revenge and had restricted movements for fear of enmity.
