Balfin Group Teams Up with French Brand KIABI to Expand Retail Presence Across the Balkans
BALFIN Group, one of the leading investment entities in the Western Balkans, has entered into a strategic partnership with KIABI, a renowned French fashion brand recognized for its affordable, prices, and high-quality clothing.
The agreement marks a significant milestone for BALFIN Group, as it strengthens its foothold in the retail sector and introduces KIABI’s globally recognized brand to Albania, North Macedonia, Montenegro, and Kosovo.
As part of the agreement, KIABI will open its first store in Albania, with plans for further expansion across neighboring countries. The goal is to offer a broad range of high-quality, sustainable products at competitive prices, enhancing the retail experience for customers and providing a one-stop destination for family fashion. Kiabi is part of Association Familiale Mulliez, a holding company that owns brands such as Decathlon, Auchan, Leroy Merlin, Boulanger, Midas, Jules, Oney, and more.
“KIABI is the leading French fashion brand, and its unique concept is conquering the international market. Our value for money, unbeatable style and sustainable approach, combined with extensive experience in digital shopping, make us truly unique. Today, our growth challenges take us wherever there are families. We intend to develop partnerships of all types and through all channels, to reach as many families as possible. KIABI is a local retailer that aims to "make life easier for families" by adapting to each urban area and rural region, bringing them sustainable collections and solutions” , said François Haimez?, KIABI’s International Leader.
Julian Mane, Vice President of Retail at BALFIN Group, stated "This agreement marks the beginning of an exciting journey, starting with the opening of KIABI's first store in Albania, followed by a broader regional expansion. While we recognize the challenges ahead, we are confident that, together with KIABI, we will rise to the occasion. Our vision is to strategically grow in key cities and capitals, working tirelessly to meet and exceed the expectations of both our customers and partners."
Fashion Group Albania, a subsidiary of BALFIN Group, played a pivotal role in leading the negotiations between the group and Kiabi. The partnership between Kiabi and BALFIN Group comes at a time when there is increasing demand for affordable family fashion in the region. This collaboration aims to fulfill this request while also contributing to the creation of over 400 jobs, thereby stimulating local economic development. Moreover, KIABI’s commitment to sustainability, high-quality products, and customer satisfaction further solidifies its position as a leading global brand in the affordable fashion sector.
