Tirana Rains Cause Huge Traffic Jam
Moderate to heavy rains lashed parts of the Capital of Albania, Tirana early Thursday morning, leaving roads with knee-deep water and the traffic crawling.
The heavy showers led to long traffic snarls. In many streets of the capital, the queues of cars have become long, while the citizens complain and in some cases even sounding their horns, but in vain.
The rains have forced many of the people to pick up cars, to take the children to kindergartens or kindergartens, but surely a large part of them have not been able to arrive on time.
Although traffic police officers were stationed at some key intersections, their whistle and sign did not affect the situation at all.
The traffic situation has been worrying in Tirana for a long time, but a long-term solution has never been found.
