A police operation in Kurbin has led to the arrest of 5 people for various criminal activities. The news was announced by the police through an announcement, where it is said that they were arrested as part of the coded operation "Terreni". 

They are suspected of a number of criminal offences, from drug trafficking, illegal possession of weapons to illegal gambling. 

Sources inform that the arrested are Genti Suti, who was found with a pistol, Jetlir Markaj, who was caught with a motorcycle without a license and wearing a T-shirt with police inscription, Altin Mihana and Alket Lika, who were in a gambling establishment and Dritan Peka, previously convicted and wanted. 

"The services of the Kurbin Police Station, as a result of intensive checks in the field, 24/7, for the prevention and attack of illegalities, as well as for the location, capture and handcuffing of wanted citizens, supported by informational intelligence, have organized and finalized the coded police operation "Terreni". 

As a result of this operation, the following citizens were arrested: 

-G. S., 44 years old, resident of Kurbin, with previous criminal records in the fields of narcotics and theft of property and wealth. 

The 44-year-old was arrested in Laç, after breaking the "House Arrest" security measure, set by the Court. Following the procedural actions for this case, during the control exercised in the residence of citizen G.S., the Police services found a pistol firearm that was seized as material evidence, together with a quantity of military ammunition; 

-A. M., 37 years old, resident of Milot and A. L., 49 years old, resident of Mamurras, after during the control exercised in the bar managed by these citizens, the Police services found 7 computers that were used for the illegal organization of gambling, which were seized as material evidence, together with a sum of money benefited from this illegal activity; 

-D. P., 34 years old, resident of Kukës, with previous criminal records in the fields of narcotics and theft of property and wealth. This citizen was declared wanted, after the Court of the Judicial District of Tirana has sentenced him to 1 month imprisonment, for the criminal offenses of "Opposing a public order of a police officer" and "Disobeying the order of a public order police officer"; 

-J. M., 34 years old, resident in Tirana, for the criminal offenses of "Driving vehicles in an irregular manner" and "Unauthorized wearing of uniform", after being caught by the Police services, driving a motor vehicle, without a driving license and not equipped with the relevant documents. Also, at the time of his arrest, the 34-year-old man was wearing a sweatshirt with the inscription "Police". 

The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office at the Kurbin Judicial District Court, for further actions," the police said.
