Largest Cistern of Ancient Balkans Discovered in Albania

The largest and most beautiful cistern of the ancient Balkans is discovered in Albania, it belongs to the third century BC.

The well-known archaeologist, Neritan Ceka discovers a project of the Institute of Archeology, which has been going on for three years. 

Archaeologist Ceka points out that this is a project in Bylys, that is discovering a water tank, which reserved the water of the stairs of the stadium of the third century BC. 

As the archaeologist points out, the cistern is 50 meters long and 8 meters deep and was covered by a system of arches. According to Ceka, this is the largest and most beautiful cistern of the ancient Balkans of that period, including Greece. 

Archaeologist Neritan Ceka himself announces that in addition to the excavation, its restoration is being done, while he also publishes images of the discovery on his social media page.
