Letta's Secret Plan for the Italian Presidency

Enrico Letta, who has sparked a war between women in the recently acquired Democratic Party, has only one man in his head: Romano Prodi. The new hope. The secretary general, having taken on the role of a Marvel superhero, after the fake gender revolution, is nostalgic for the past. In fact, he intends to brush up on the old majority project of the Ulivo alliance by putting on a varnish of the remains of the Conte-led 5 Stars.

The mission impossible of the superhero Letta is to be able to place the peaceful Prodi at the Presidency and then aim for the Prime-ministry himself. Otherwise, why would he never have given up on the golden retreat in Paris? To carry out this diabolical plan, he has already identified the next goal: to render as difficult as possible the path towards the Presidency for his friend Mario Draghi, whose government still appears disoriented. Therefore, in the eyes of Letta, the criticisms of Salvini's League toward the executive are welcome, which are combined with the lack of initiative of PD ministers (Franceschini, Guerini and Orlando).

Not an intelligent idea on their part, that about the shutdowns and the respective financial support, not to mention the digital revolution entrusted to Colao and Cingolani, who run around in circles. Perhaps also due to the fact that Draghi does not seem to pay them any kind of attention and for the premier's hasty way of regulating relations with colleagues, starting with the bewildered head of the Economy and Finance Minister Daniele Franco. As for the Democratic Party, the first days of the "new" course are spent under the banner of PD's best rhetoric. With the numbers of the pandemic and the economy screaming for revenge, Letta continues with the usual arguments, from homophobia to ius soli to voting rights for sixteen-year-olds, while the currents have regained absolute power against a secretary who wants to command but doesn't know how to do it - because by his nature, he is more a man of institutions than of apparatuses.

In the quarrels on the election of the two female group leaders, here comes Letta's mantra: after having solicited them, they were seen set without being able to touch the ball, with personal dramas that will bring with them a trail of poisons and gossip, the main topic in nocturnal reconciliation of the former communist leadership. Starting from the great defeated, Marianna Madia, author of the slogan "I bring my extraordinary inexperience as a dowry" which has made her entire career in the shadow of the man on duty (from Veltroni to Letta, from D'Alema to Napolitano Jr to Renzi), even in the passage in Rai, with the most enlightened author, Giovanni Minoli, where he immediately obtained a program, or in the cinema, where he participated with a cameo in the film “Pazze di me”. Or like Debora Serracchiani, the questionable governor of Friuli, commissioned by a palace masterpiece between Franceschini, Delrio and the astute Lotti, who embellished the operation by obtaining the vice presidency for the son of Vincenzo De Luca. A party, therefore, increasingly at the mercy of the currents, in pursuit of the 5 Star-ists, with a secretary who, however, can count on the Presidency as an 'ace under the sleeve’.

Mattarella, who has wickedly led the games within the PD of Zingaretti, will try to be begged to stay until the end but, should he decide to step aside, he does not disdain the idea of Romano Prodi as a replacement, with the return of the clan of the Bolognese. And to prepare the battlefield it would be good if Tinny Andreatta, daughter of the beloved Beniamino, were re-dropped into Rai as administrator. After all, mother Rai has always been a pink reserve for women. Just read the names according to the seasons as in the TV series: it was the turn of the wives, daughters, friends. And now, even new grooms who rightly are fighting for their shares. For Letta, therefore, more than an Easter it will be a via crucis, whose week of passion will arrive in October with the vote in the big cities. Rome, to which funds and millionaire projects will arrive for the Holy Year of 2025 and where over 30 million visitors will go: Being the first post-Covid world event which, with inexplicable superficiality, neither Conte nor now Draghi have dealt with, creating embarrassment in the Vatican. Turin seems lost, Bologna in the balance, Naples will go to Roberto Fico and Milan perhaps to Giuseppe Sala, a kind of half 5 Starish and half green faun. With this perspective, goodbye dreams of glory for the eternal young promise Enrico. His uncle Gianni has always been better.
