Lot 4 of Tirana’s Great Ring Ready Soon

The project for the construction of the fourth lot of the Great Ring Road of Tirana is advancing at a fast pace.

Prime Minister Edi Rama shared on social networks images from the works in this important infrastructure work, which he said is expected to be finalized as soon as possible.

"At the construction site of lot 4 of the Great Ring Road, in Tirana, work continues on the construction of the viaduct and the construction of secondary roads part of this lot," said Rama. The full completion of Tirana's Great Ring Road, a 27-kilometer-long segment, will connect the capital to all national exit roads, as well as ease traffic in the capital.

Also, the Great Ring will make possible the urbanization of the rural areas covered by the road.

The capital of Albania is changing its infrastructure configuration and demographics on an unprecedented scale. Being Tirana the locomotive of the country’s economy, development, and opportunities, the internal migration from other cities and provinces towards the capital has projected the need for better roads, junctions, and additions to the existing infrastructure.
