Man Wanted by Albanian, Montenegrin Police Arrested
A 43-year-old man from Berat, who was wanted by the Albanian and Montenegrin police for trafficking and selling narcotics, was arrested.
Police indicate that Pajtim Shyti has been convicted 3 times and accused of producing and selling narcotics, in Albania and Montenegro. He had to serve over 7 years of imprisonment in Albania and is also wanted by the Montenegrin authorities.
"During the period 2017-2021, Shyti was convicted and charged 3 times, in Albania and Montenegro, for the criminal offense "Production and sale of narcotics", carried out in collaboration, specifically:
• The Court of Appeal of Gjirokastër, with the decision dated 30.05.2017, sentenced him to 4 years and 8 months of imprisonment, since in 2016, this citizen was caught in Përmet, distributing narcotics;
• The Vlora Court of Appeal, with the decision dated 02.05.2017, sentenced him to 2 years and 7 months of imprisonment, since in 2016, in his apartment in Berat, quantities of narcotics, heroin and cocaine, as well as cannabis seeds were found;
• The Court of the Berat Judicial District, with the decision dated 15.01.2021, assigned the security measure "Arrest in prison", as he was wanted by the Montenegrin authorities, for the production and sale of narcotics", informed the Police.
