President of the Republic Ilir Meta praised the figure of former President Bujar Nishani, for whom homage is being paid this Wednesday in the Presidency. The head of state emphasized that Nishani was not only an exemplary husband and parent, but also a responsible politician and statesman. 

"I bowed today with the deepest respect and honour before the former President, Bujar Nishani. 

I expressed my deepest condolences to his wife Odeta, children Ersi and Fiona, as well as to all their family members, for this painful and very premature separation from the life of former President Nishani.
 
He was not only an exemplary husband and parent, but one of the most responsible and serious politicians and statesmen of these decades, in every task, political and state, where he excelled with the correctness, integrity, principality and constructiveness that characterized him, in particular as President of the Republic, where he stood out as an excellent defender of the Constitution, of the public and national interest, of democracy, its most important principles and values. 

Former President Nishani, a symbol of the best and human virtues, left behind a very positive legacy and an unforgettable memory for all those whom he served with dedication and loyalty. His memory is unforgettable!", Meta said.
