President of the Republic Ilir Meta wished a speedy recovery to Bujar Nishani, who was sent to Germany for treatment due to deteriorating health. 

Through a social media post, the Head of State writes that he wishes Nishani to return to his family as soon as possible. 

"I wish from the bottom of my heart a speedy recovery and full health to President Bujar Nishani and I pray for his return to his family as soon as possible and to the top of important commitments." 

A day earlier, former President Nishani was hospitalized in the Sanatorium due to deteriorating health. The former head of state was sent to Germany and will be treated at a hospital in Berlin. Nishani is being treated for post Covid bilateral pneumonia with respiratory failure.
