Minister Xhaçka’s Message on NATO’s 73rd Anniversary
Albania’s Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Olta Xhaçka, has commemorated the 73rd anniversary of the founding of the largest political-military alliance, NATO by publishing on social networks a video of the MFA building which is illuminated with the logo and colors of NATO- s.
In her statement, Minister Xhaçka expressed pride that Albania is a credible member of NATO, which makes a contribution that goes beyond what is supposed to give a country the size of Albania, be it to guarantee regional stability or security.
"Today, just like 73 years ago, it is again NATO that guarantees the collective security of the Euro-Atlantic space and the democratic world. NATO is more relevant today than ever, its members more united than ever in the face of security challenges and threats, such as those coming from the illegal Russian aggression in Ukraine," wrote Minister Xhaçka.
However, the North Atlantic Treaty Organization, also known as the North Atlantic Alliance, is an intergovernmental military alliance between 30 member states, 28 of which are in Europe and the other 2 are part of North America.
