Mitrovica commemorates this Saturday the 24th anniversary when 23 innocent civilians were killed by former Serbian security forces in the Bosnian nighborhood. 

On April 15, 1999, after gathering about 80 people in the house of Mustafa Sahiti, the Serbian forces started their torture and killed 23 Albanians throughout the neighborhood. 

Meanwhile, the house where the massacre took place has now been turned into a museum.
