New Details on ‘Skanderbeg Square' Incident

New details are uncovered regarding the incident that happened this Sunday noon in ‘Skanderbeg’ Square, in Tirana, where a young man has broken the surrounding barriers of the square with his car and has begun to make dangerous maneuvers along its space.

Thanks to the immediate intervention of citizens, it was neutralized and this incident ended without serious consequences. Klodian from Tirana, is the boy who made possible the intervention and the stopping of the young man who was inside the car.

According to him, the perpetrator, while entering the square with his car, tried to oppress people. Klodian said that at that moment he did not think about himself, but only wanted to protect the lives of citizens.

"The man entered quickly, he was coming towards the people. He headed towards the crowd, we intervened immediately. There were many citizens around so I intervened. I entered first and stepped out of the glass on foot, the person stopped. He was shocked when I shot him with both feet. I do not know who he is. I was not afraid, I was afraid that no one would be harmed, I did not think of myself at all,” said Klodian.

Meanwhile, the driver of the vehicle is suspected to have been under the influence of drugs. He was identified as Arben Mema, 32 years old. As reported, several doses of cannabis were found with him. It is also learned that before entering the square, he crashed several cars on the road.
