From this Saturday, July 2nd, the new Kardhiq-Delvina road, together with the Skërfica tunnel, has been opened for traffic. 

"This axis shortens the arrival time to Saranda by 45 minutes, increasing road safety as well as offering another spectacle of Albanian nature", writes the Prime Minister in the post on Facebook where he also published images of the new road. 

Rama was received by the residents of Gjirokastra and Delvina with polyphonic songs and traditional foods of the area. The new Kardhiq-Delvinë road, which cuts the travel time to Saranda by 45 minutes, is ready. 

The Minister of Tourism and Environment, Mirela Kumbaro, also published images of this road axis, as she announced that from today it will be open to all citizens, bringing the coast very close. 

"The journey from Gjirokastra to Delvina, and beyond to Saranda with the new road will be open to all citizens from today, bringing the coast very close", says Kumbaro on social networks.
