No Doubts in Austria, Albanian Descent Youngster Killed Four People

Kujtim Fejzullahi is the 20-year-old man who killed 4 people and injured 17 others Vienna last night. He is of Albanian origin, from North Macedonia and possessed an Austrian passport. The suspect in Monday night’s attack was identified as a young Austrian-North Macedonian dual citizen with a previous terror conviction for attempting to join the Islamic State extremist group in Syria, says the Associated Press.

The 20-year-old had been previously convicted and has a criminal record, write the local media, which have also provided the photo where he appears armed, with a Kalashnikov, a pistol and a machete.

In 2019, he was released on parole from prison, but was part of the group of radicalized Austrians who attempted to go to Syria for war. For this he was sentenced to 22 months in prison in April 2019.

Local media say that he was also a former footballer. One of the other perpetrators of the terrorist attack that bloodied Vienna yesterday, taking the lives of 3 of its inhabitants, and leaving 15 others injured, is from Northern Macedonia, of Albanian origin.

Meanwhile, Austrian journalist Florian Klenk has said that "The terrorist from Vienna is called Kurtin S., he was born in 2000, he is 20 years old, he was born and raised in Vienna, he has Albanian roots, his parents are from North Macedonia. Parents have not been noticed in terms of Islamism. The terrorist was targeted by the Austrian secret service, as he was one of the 90 Islamists who wanted to go to Syria".

According to Austrian media, Kujtim Fejzullahi swore allegiance to the new head of the ISIS terrorist militia, Abu Ibrahim al-Hashimi al-Quraishi, shortly before the bloody acts. The victims, in addition to the perpetrator Fejzullahi, are two other men and two other women.

One of the victims is a young Albanian from Struga. The 20-year-old Nexhip Vrenezi went out to smoke cigarettes when he was shot by the perpetrators of the terrorist attack, and died on the spot. Meanwhile, Austrian media report that another young man from Kosovo is part of the terrorist group. This person is still unidentified. The youngest of the perpetrators is a 16 year old.

"The suspects are between 16 and 25 years old and were born in Vienna, Kosovo, Bangladesh, St. Pölten, Chechnya and Mödling. The youngsters live in Vienna (10) and St. Pölten (2). According to internal information, the men born in Austria all have foreign roots, mainly Chechen and Southeast European", report the Austrian media, but do not give names.

On the other hand, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kosovo, Meliza Haradinaj Stublla said that three of the police officers who confronted the terrorist group are from Kosovo.

"Kosovo unanimously condemns last night's attacks in Vienna. I will not comment on unconfirmed sources, but I would like to highlight some important facts about what happened yesterday. Three of the police officers who responded to last night's attacks were Albanians, citizens of Kosovo, who live well integrated in Vienna and work and fight alongside Austrian citizens to protect the values and goals we share with the Austrian people", has said Haradinaj.
