Parliament Votes President's Dismissal

Albania’s outgoing parliament voted on Wednesday the final report of the Inquiry Committee which requires the dismissal of the President Ilir Meta.

104 Members of Parliament voted pro, while 7 voted against and only two abstained.

From now on the fate of the Albanian President is on the hand of the Constitutional Court, the institution which has the final verdict.

Ilir Meta is the only one in Albania's history dismissed by the Parliament.
