Rama Confident that Greece Will Not Obstruct Albania's EU Path

Prime Minister Edi Rama talked about possible scenarios of what will happen if Greece vetoes the integration. In his speech at the SP Congress, Rama emphasized that if this happens, he will not return from Brussels upset, but on the contrary more motivated.

"Only one country has still suspended its opinion, not because of the undeniable results of Albania, but because of a reason of the traditional Balkan neutrality in neighbouring relations, Greece! The story is known. The position neither changes until December 13 nor will it change beyond December 13. This position will not change, not because we are stubborn, but because the reason for not changing our position is much more stubborn than us, justice for Albania is like water that has just begun to emerge with difficulty in a desert.

I will not believe until December 13th that our neighbours will put the veto cap on the bottle opened with such dedication and professional work by a team of more than 1,000 people throughout our state system that have represented Albania with dignity at the dialogue tables and the presentation in Brussels in the full scan of the country's situation and actually proving Albania's readiness to move the negotiations forward by opening chapters.

But for all of you and those Albanians who listen to us, I want to I tell you very sincerely that "in case this happens, I will not return from Brussels upset, not a single bit upset, but I will return even more proud of Albania and more motivated to continue together the great works for our home", said Rama.
