PM Rama Praised Luiza Gega after European Champion Title

Prime Minister Edi Rama praised the figure of Luiza Gega at her honouring ceremony in the premises of the Prime Minister's Office, after her announcement as European Champion. The head of government said that there is no financial reward that can reward Luiza for what she has given to the nation.

"If we look at Luiza's entire journey until she landed on the track for the less than 10 minutes that now belong to history, they are endless steps of exhaustion, blood, tears and sweat. With these four words, Luiza has given sport and Albania new letters of nobility. Her achievement, staggering. The image of an Albania that succeeds was given to Albania by Luiza, that succeeds with her head held high among all the others.

Your victory shows everyone that there are no persons, peoples, nations inferior to others and nothing is impossible for anyone who has the courage to follow their dream to the end".

Meanwhile, he also had an answer for those he called cynics who, according to him, and in cases of success like Luiza's, "talk about euros".

"You enter a very specific angle as a predictor of an Albania where many more girls and boys will prove the opposite of what the cynics preach with the nation, with the flag, and with every moral and ethical norm of the Albanian tradition".
