PM Rama Reveals Topic of Discussion with Albin Kurti
Prime Minister of Albania, Edi Rama, who is in the United States of America, where he is attending the UN headquarters, has spoken about the political situation in Albania, the attacks of Iran and the meeting with the President of Kosovo, Albin Kurti.
Asked during an interview for local media why Kurti came urgently to Tirana, Rama said that it was not an urgent meeting at all, it was a planned lunch. He said that the focus of the talks was the energy crisis.
Excerpts from the conversation:
Rama: Why did Kurt arrive urgently?
Rama: It was not an emergency, it was a meal planned a long time ago.
Q: What did you discuss?
Rama: We talked about the energy crisis. Kosovo has a very difficult situation, much more difficult than us, it has a very old structural base. An old power plant. There is an extraordinary conjuncture in Albania.
Question: How can we help?
Rama: We talked about how we can do more.
Question: Is Kosovo at risk of being restricted?
Rama: Yes. In winter there can be much more.
Question: Can we help Kosovo?
Rama: We can trade. When we have the opportunity to trade, we trade, but the opportunity for us to help beyond a certain level is limited.
